I have a Dell 3100cn printer about 3 years old. I keep getting a paper jam because the paper is wrapping around the fuser instead of just touching the fuser. Is the fuser bad or is something else wrong?
If you are using the same paper that you always have and nothing else has changed it is likley that the fuser is just comming to the end of its life. A 3100cn fuser will normally last around 80,000 - 100,000 pages before it needs replaced. Check your page count using the printer's webpage or on a report if you can get one out.
You might also want to try changing your paper type settings to a slower speed like "covers 2" rather than the default "plain 1" setting.
