Dell C2665dnf feeder problem

Have had a dell c2665dnf multifunction printer now for about 6 months. Previously had another dell multifunction machine that we had no problems with.

A regular problem has occurred with the document feeder on the printer - it does not 'grip' the paper properly on every sheet, causing a jam. This doesn't happen on every sheet, or on every job. Is it a known fault with the printer? What can I do to fix it?
