Dell V305 not printing any text *self solved*
Edit: Sorry all. It seems because I partially busted the part that allows the black cartridge to snap in, I can't print from it directly. Therefore, I changed my printer setting to allow the color side to print the black and it works. You may close/delete this thread.

Hello. I'm sincerely hoping someone can help me in regards to my Dell V305 All in One Printer. As of about 3 days ago if not a little longer, I have been unable to print out anything with text. My operating system is Windows Vista.
Here is my issues and what works:
1) Regardless of word program or webpage, text will not print out.
2) Only web links or pictures will print.
3) Align Page & Test Page prints fine
4) Copy & Scan options work fine
5) Ink Catridges are brand new, not even a month old.

List of things I have tried to do to fix the problem or try to figure out what's going on:
1) Complete Uninstall/Reinstall 2+ times.
2) Disconnecting/Reconnecting the Printer
3) System Restore
4) CMD sfc /scannow
5) Complete Dell Diagnostics Scan
6) Uninstalled recent Widows Updates to see if it was interfering (which it wasn't)
7) Checked Firewall/Anti-virus to see if Printer was blocked (which it is not)
The last known thing I was able to print out was a .pdf file but I had to set it to "Print As Image" in order for it to come out. I don't know what else to do or try. I'm at my wits end. I sincerely hope someone can help me. :(

Serafine,
Can you copy a document under the glass? Black and white and color?

I have done the same thing with my color cartridge carrier and simply used tape to tape the two cartridges together. Seems to work okay. Had tried to install it in the dark upside down and when I pressed it in there was a snap sound. Can this be really fixed?
