Error light in All-in-one printer 924

I changed the color cartrigde with a new one, the error light on my printer however remains on.
During the printing proces a warningmessage on the PC indicates that the colorcartridge has to be replaced.
However the black/white and colorprints are ok, so i suspect the cartridge causing this problem.
What can i do?

Did you purchase the ink cart brand new from Dell. If not then that is the cause. If yes then wipe the electrical contacts on the back of the ink cart and the matching contacts in the ink cart carrier. If that does not solve the problem, turn off printer, remove AC cord and USB cable from the back of the printer for 1 minute. Replace and retry.
