MFP 1600n printer/scanner, NEED INSTALL DISC

hi. just got my sister's old dell printer/scanner. mfp 1600n. no installation disc. i downloaded and installed the driver from the dell site, and it prints, but i can't scan. i think the problem is that i need the front-end software that would be on the installation disc, namely "Dell ScanCenter" and/or "Paperport."

as best i can tell, this software is not available on the dell site.

if there's anyone out there who has the disc ("Drivers and Utilities CD") and is willing to burn a copy and send it to me, i will pay a little something and you'll be my hero of the month!

anyone? anyone at all?

llynster, I am having the same issue with my 1600N sanner.  I need the front end software and can not find it.  Can you help me as well?

You'll need to call Dell spare parts and inquire about part number CG131 (Eng,Frch,Span) or CG132 (Eng only). I don't have "spares" number, sorry.

Sorry..... I can't help with CD's. The one time I did was because I had an extra. I don't have anymore.
