Prosphre Deployment Issues

I deployed ProSpehre following the EMC ProSphere Deployment Quick Start Guide. All the VM deployed successfully excet the Historical Database Server. I re-deployed again with the same errors

fsck: fsck.ext2: not found

Mount: unknown filesystem type 'ext2'

could not mount root filesystem -- exiting to bin/sh

How can I deploy the historical DB only from the ISO?

Hi,

I have not seen this issue previously.  Can you open a SR please?  Support can then carry out a detailed investigation and document it accordingly.

Did you download all of the .VMDK files from Powerlink?  I missed a download during my initial deployment and it created the vApp but I had the same message (it wouldn't boot).  I had to delete and re-deploy with the proper .vmdk files downloaded.

Hi,

I had a problem with Prosphere Deployment months ago and I think I had the same error message. The problem was that one of the .VMDKs was corrupted. I recommend that you check the MD5 checksum code of the files with a MD5 tool to see if the code is the same as showed in Prosphere download area in Powerlink.

Caio
