Adobe Premiere Elements 9 - loading from disc

I have Inspiron 17R laptop with Windows 7 - I purchased Adobe Premiere Elements 9 with my laptop to view and edit videos made with my Nikon D7000.  I thought Adobe Premiere Elements 9 was pre-loaded onto my laptop as was Adobe Photoshop but every time I go to edit one of my videos -- it says that only minimum functions are available.  It says to please upload the full program from your discs.  Then I insert Disc 1 of 2 and it starts the upload the program and I get an error message.  It says: Adobe Premiere is in use, please close all .exe programs to continue.  I close all programs and try again and I get the same error message and the full program never loads.  How can I get the discs to work?  Thanks, Marilyn

Hi marilyn958,

I would advise you to uninstall and reinstall the Adobe Premiere Elements 9’ on your system. Please use the uninstaller in the link below to uninstall the program.
