Dell Support Center 3.0 FREEZE UP!
I have a Dell Inspiron 1545 that I purchsed August 2009. I would like to think that I am pretty computer savy, I run 2 weekly virus scans with McAfee, and never download anything unreputable, since I have purchsed it I have only downloaded like Yahoo! Messenger, Skype, and maybe a few media type files for watching videos on Netflix and ABC. I have never had any problems with Dell Support Center 2.0 (DSC2), always done scans as it requested me to do and passed with flying colors, recently I got a notification that DSC2 was no longer supported that I need to upgrade to Dell Support Center 3.0 (DSC3) which I have, it downloaded fine and works until I have to do a PC scan. The entire laptop freezes up at the 6% completion mark.. I am not at my laptop so I do not know which part of the scan it freezes on, I think it is the 3rd or 4th process... HELP I do not know what to do!! Should I just avoid the scan and cancel it? Can I even do that, can I uninstall DSC3 completly? Do I even need it??

- Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit (Dell sent me upgrade from Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit),
- Intel Pentium Dual Core T4200, 2GB Memory
- 160G 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive

reysebastian,
Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.
If you are having issues with this program you can uninstall it from the add/remove programs. You do not need to have it on your system.
