Dell datasafe won't let me click on disks to backup my inspiron 1545
i have a dell inspiron 1545 which i'dlike to restore to it's factory settings, do you have to back it up if you want to restore and why won't it let me click disk or pen drive, I did once try to backup and restore my laptop but i never finished would that have to do with anything or do i just need to insert a disk first? thank you

Welcome to the community
Please find the link below for steps of doing a factory reset of the system without using a CD. Once you open the link please select the operating system which you are using and then follow the steps. During this process all the data would be lost so we suggest you to copy all the necessary files, photos, music etc to a USB drive or an external harddrive and procees with the factory image restore
