Facial Recognition Software for 1640 XPS - Download

Hi there is a  website to download software but its been down for over a week

I called Dell the other day and they said they would  ship me the webcam software but didnt have the facial recognition software disc

I got them today via fed ex. All the cds that i didnt have. Roxio, dvd software, webcam and the facial recognition
It is all loaded and working great

Call dell and ask them to ship you the cds that you need

I had the same problem so do a few friends on mine all got brand new studio xps 16 lappys came with backup discs but no software discs we even tryed to get them from my dell downloads through our accounts but after loads of attemps we rung dell tech ,, we finally where told that this was not available through UK residents LOL so we searhc the internet and we found the sofware in the end

Well TBH it took myself and a few mates of mine ages to find these programs and now we have them thanks to some kind person on megaupload.com

Eversince ive recieved my dell studio xps 1640 (vista) im very happy with its performance.

But the support and services are pretty bad ....

I live in the netherlands and thats where ive ordered and recieved my  xps 1640.

if you didnt share the links that youve got from your mates... i would be still waiting on the promises of dell that they would ship them to me.

finally ive recieved something from dell: a master restorage dvd.... thats very kind of them but thats not what ive requested ... i already have the os with the standard software but since im using windows 7 i need the seperate software wich i did not recieve.

Even my service tag isnt being recognised as a valid registered service tag.

i cant even register my service tag on smartsource.dell.

i says that it is unknown.

So thanks very much..and please do update if there is any other software available for download.

Give me 48hrs from the time of this post and ill get links up got roxio and powerdvd dx the final 2 software programs that come with dell xps 16 laptops just busy in univercity and ill need to go back in internet historyto find the links.

ill link all 4 software links in forums for all dells customers .

You have to go to the My Dell Downloads site, register and sign in.  It will give you all downloads not included on CD/DVD. https://smartsource.dell.com/ Remember to click on New User Registration.

OK Finally Back forget the rest and that dell souce center if peeps actually read the posts the dell download source centre don't work for UK residents so stop posting it lol here's all the software for your dell 1640 laptops thanks to the uploadsers. Pirates for the win dell loses everytime till the treat there customers better. I have downloaded them all myself and tested for viruses trojans etc with eset smart security and mcafee with a clean bill of health with them all.

Even I need this software.. I am from India... and when I try to register on the site and click allow, nothing happens :(

Dell service in India SUPER SUCKS... I called them few months ago and they told me that they dont have dvd/cds for face recognition and dell web cam s/w... and the guy was very rude...

My post has been deleted. =D. Dell is sooo busy deleting post, but still don't want to solve the chipset driver problem of XPS M1340 in Windows 7. They just take the chipset driver from nVidia.

Assume this is from you waste my time waiting for my laptop replacement, poor supports (by phone and email), poor chipset driver (XPS M1340-Win7), poor air ventilation design (XPS M1340).

What Do you call that software to download ?
