You got a Product Key card with the computer that has the product key on it. Search the paperwork and box you received with the computer. Then you can use the key to download or restore or backup here--

i had many emails already and feeling im getting a run around from Dell! i purchased two identical laptops less than a year ago for my kids on christmas. i forwarded the receipt and all the information they required. after a week now, i get a message saying my warranty has been moved. the other computer has a valid warranty but the other dont! i dont see how this is possible? a lady said in a message to buy a version of windows from microsoft! my computers are less than a year old and since i had to reboot the computer to factory settings, i now cannot activate windows on my inspirion, my HP has a sticker on it with my key for my computer! i received no card in any of the paperwork for the laptop. i keep everything and again, there is nothing with a windows key on it and feel i should not need to buy a version of windows from microsoft as i already did when i purchased my dell computer. i am still under warranty according to when i bought two computers on 12/7/14!!!! it hasnt even been a year yet!!!!! i also have confirmation from a dell person that on service tag is good til 2/27/16!!!! the other has been out of warranty 7/15!!!!! 6 months of warranty!!!!!! im a general contractor and was going to buy my top 3 guys an XPS 13 touch but really deciding on apple products now or even a windows tablet!! dell warranty is a rip off as you can clearly see and if i were anyone looking to buy a laptop or and computer, DO NOT BUY DELL!!!!!!!! i am very upset as they clearly don't care about the customer!!! i mean, do they really buy one version of windows for one computer or are they using one version for many laptops? why cant i get a copy of the key they used during manufacturing for my computer???????? you can reach me at my email or heck, call me!!!! ill be finding more places to express my dealings with dell after one week if noone there makes things right! social media can be bad for a company trying to boost sales as they already about lost three sales of a 1500.00 tablets!!!! 4500.00 gone!!!! just dont make sense to me!!!! ni will send proof of my receipt and the emails from dell on my next forum and social media base i hit as well as the ***!!!!
