I've been seeing 32-bit Dell desktops delivered with MS Office 2010 in "Click-to-Run" version with virtual disk Q:.
The execution path is rather long and convolved, including an argument. I can make it work from the Command Prompt proving that this is the right string to start up Excel.
BUT: This doesn't work with some of our 3rd party applications that have links to open an Office app like Excel.
How will I know when ordering a computer if it's going to have "Click-to-Run" Office 2010 or not? Can I specify what I get?
Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.
If you do not specify or order MS Office at point of sale then the Click ro Run version will be installed on your computer. Below is a introduction that explains MS Office 2010 Click to Run.
