Office 2007

All Office products fail. I get a message "Microsoft Word has stopped working". The product then exits. This also hapens for Excel and PowerPoint.

Insert the Office 2007 CD and do a repair.

I am having the same problems but don't have the original 2007 discs as these were installed by Dell at the time of purchase.

 

How do I obtain an installation disc or repair CD without having to purchase a new Microsoft Office version?

 

Desktop purchased in 2009.

It looks like you are using Starter version of MS Office that comes with a new brand PC.

While using MS Office Starter, it may generate an error message that asking you to repair the MS Word program. Perform the following steps to repair it:

  1. Click on the 'Start' Button.
  2. Go-to the 'Control Panel'.
  3. Click on the 'Programs' from the list.
  4. Now go with 'programs & features' & click on the 'uninstall a program'
  5. Select MS Office Starter 2007 from the list & click on the 'Change'.
  6. A repair dialog box will be open, check the box & click on 'Yes'.
