XPS 8900, Dell Update icon and service missing?

I have a Dell XPS 8900 tower and a Dell Inspiron 7373 laptop. Both are running the latest versions of Windows 10 and other software and drivers.

Recently, the Dell Update icon disappeared from the task tray and the Dell Update service disappeared from Services.msc. The Dell Update icon is still on the Start menu and I can still run it from there.

The icon and service still appear on the Inspiron 7373 and still function as expected.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Dell Update software several times, but the icon and service are still missing.

I have not found an answer for this issue anywhere. I am willing and able to edit the Registry if necessary. However, I am absolutely not willing to reinstall Windows 10 for this relatively minor, non-show-stopping issue!
