First thing, power down you're computer, hold F12 when you boot up and run the diagnostics. If anything flags up report it on the forum. If no errors occur, then follow the in depth guide I have wrote below about a clean install of Windows 7. It tells you where to get media, how to make a bootable USB or DVD, how to reinstall Windows 7, how to get the drivers.

The .iso files used are supplied by digital river however and will require phone activation.

To make things easier for Dell Users with software, me and a few others have put the following idea on dell idea storm. The more votes we get the more likely Dell will implement them. Please make an ideastorm account (or log on with you're community account) and promote the following 5 ideas. If implemented it should make life easier:

○ Make Dell Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, 7 .iso Files Available to Download

○ Print OEM Product Keys for Windows 7 and Office 2010 in the BIOs setup

○ One Dell Quickset for All Dell Systems

○ Drivers and Downloads Page: List Drivers in Recommended Install Order

○ One Software Installation Location
