Dell 5100MP DLP Projector MENU button not working or locked out
Hi,
I am trying to enter the menu of the projector by pressing the menu button on the projector control panel but nothing comes up. I even held it for 15 and more seconds per manual but no luck. Any ideas? Thanks

In my case it turned out to be the ribbon cable that goes to the control board with the buttons.
There is a ribbon cable between the LCD/Control panel and the main circuit board. I disconnected it, cleaned it, and reconnected it. Problem solved!
This also got rid of another issue: at every power up the LAMP and TEMP LEDs would illuminate and the LCD would read SW Upgrade. The only way around that was to unplug the cord. After re-seating the ribbon cable this went away as well!
