Printer dell v310 won't printer more than one job

I have a dell laptop and the printer that came with it. I have windows 7. Whenever I got to print more than one thing my printer freezes. It says it I is printing the second item but it never does. I have to shut down my computer and then restart it to get it to finish printing and sometimes that doesn't even work. I might give up on at night and it will just all be printed out in the morning or it might take 2 days for it to print. I need this to be fixed. I print out lots of things for my class at home and need to be able to do more than one thing a night. Help!!
