E20-594

Hello,

Friday next week (25) I need to pass my Avamar exam.

I followed the VIDEO_ILT but it was for V5.

Is there a lot changed between the 2 versions (5 and 6)?

What must I expect for questions?

What should I be the most carefull for?

TIA

Olivier

Hello Olivier - EMC Proven exams are not versioned; just the certifications.

The E20-594 was last updated on October 12, 2012.  Your DVD includes the date it was produced and can be found within the Activation Key as well as right on the DVD itself.

The E20-594 exam description document, found here, contains a description of the exam, recommended curriculum, as well as a link to an online practice test.  This test will help you gauge your readiness for the actual exam.

Good luck!

So, I will start reading the PDF from the eLearning and VIDEO-ILT.

OK, failed today

Main problem is that I couldn't found anything in the doc about the node addition/replacement with different models.

Hi Olivier - I just learned that our SME's have recently begun to version some of the curriculum content.  These version numbers relate to the product version, not the certification though.

Hello Debi,

What I can read in the Exam Description is:

Products

Products likely to be referred to on this exam include but are not limited to:

• EMC Avamar v6.1 software

• EMC Avamar Data Store Gen4

• EMC Avamar Virtual Edition v6.1

• EMC Avamar NDMP Accelerator

For me, you will mainly have question about V6.1 and Gen4 HW (that's what I had I my exam).

So, you don't give an 19th century world geography atlas to a kid and tell him: your test will mainly focus on the actual geography :-)
