hello

i am asking about diffrence between hard disk like

Dell 10,000RPM SAS 12Gbps 512e 2.5in Hot-plug Hard Drive 3.5in HYB CARR - 1.8TB

and another one without 512e feature

they wrote that not support vmware this is right?

this type of hard better from normal one ?

Hi,

In T610 Tech Guidebook (http://www.dell.com/downloads/global/products/pedge/en/server-poweredge-t610-tech-guidebook.pdf), you will find supported hard drives.
You can connect another disks (of course, you need to check disk controller RAID support, for example) and mix disks types (supporteds and not). And don't forget caddy size and connection. But, doing it, you dont' have Dell Support for this disk.
My advice to you: for production environments, use supported disk. And for test and others, go ahead; mix and test. And send your impressions and feelings for us.
