PE M600 Boot from Iscsi SAN - Dell EqualLogic PS-array support
Hi,
Is booting from the MD1000e / M600 Bladeserver (using on board Broadcom chip set ) to an Dell PS-5xxx series iscsi san supported today. Looking to boot VMware OS off of iSCSI SAN volume.

Hello Matt, Welcome to the Dell Forums !
No, booting VMware ESX Server off an iSCSI volume in M600 is not supported today.VMware only supports booting from iSCSI using hardware initiators.

I have really got to get back to these forums a little more often.
Dell supports boot from iSCSI: http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/network/BFi/

Not on VMware ESX.
VMware ESX only supportes boot from iSCSI from H/W initiators. Dell does not OEM hardware initiators.
