Poweredge R830

Hello,

have got an R830 and have read through the manual and see it only takes V4 cpus, is this the case or will V3s run as they do in R6/730s?

There are no validated v3 CPUs in my part list for the R830.

so does that mean v3 wont work or will work just no validation from DELL? as i have found this which would suggest v3 should run:

which would suggest there is the support there in the bios firmware?
