Yes, that kit contains a 2.5" drive with a 3.5" carrier. There is a metal adapter bracket that inserts into the 3.5" carrier to allow the 2.5" drive to fit properly. All of those parts are included in the kit you posted.

Hi Daniel, that's what I thought as well. While they will physically fit into the drive bays, Dell South Africa requested my service tag and said they will not work in the R720. Have you actually installed these drives in a R720 server. Is Dell just looking at their compatability matrix and saying it won't work? I'd rather take the word of someone who is actually running them in a R720 server in a real, live environment than a Dell technician looking at a compatability matrix. The server will be running Dell Esxi 6.5 U1.
