R730 BIOS 2.7 Confusion

Last week, Dell released the 2.7 BIOS. After I installed it on a few servers, they yanked it because Intel reported that some systems were experiencing reboots. This week, they released the 2.7 version again, and it appears to be the exact same one (according to the SHA256 hash). However, there's still a message about system reboots in the middle of the info page:

http://www.dell.com/support/article/us/en/04/sln308588/microprocessor-side-channel-vulnerabilities-cve-2017-5715-cve-2017-5753-cve-2017-5754-impact-on-dell-emc-products-dell-enterprise-servers-storage-and-networking-?lang=en

What gives? I realize the reboots happened on a limited number of servers, and I was told last week by Dell Support to not backrev unless my servers rebooted on their own, but I'm not fond of disappearing acts. Shouldn't the re release include some info about why no changes were made?

Has anyone seen any problems with the 2.7.1 bios for the R730? I'm ready to apply it, but wanted to make sure it isn't getting ready to be yanked like the 2.7 bios was.

Thanks.

Hi Tim,

I checked internally and there have been no reported issues with 2.7.1 since its release in February. Please let us know if you see any issues with this update.

Thanks,
