Hello

Now I decided to replace the existing NIC (Intel X710 Quad Port 10Gb Direct Attach, SFP+Ethernet) with new NIC card (Broadcom 5720QP 1GBb Network Daughter Card, Customer Kit)

My question, after replace the card, do I need to install any driver manually on iDrack or iDrack shall detect it automatically?

Please note the below is the link of the new card

Hello maherkhalil,

You should have no problem installing it and being detected just fine.

You may want to make sure it is up to date on firmware once you get it installed:

So, I have to installed the new card then do iDRACK manual update. that is all right?

because my server in production and my customer will be angry if I took more time. I do not want to be surprised

Hello if you are using a SFP+ cable, not UTP cable, you will need a switch in the middle.

I replaced the NIC card as mentioned in my previous reply but dell server did not detect the new card. Anything I missed?
