Disaster Recovery plan

Hi All,

I am new to RP over here but in need to help out with a customer on RP question. Hopefully some expert can help me out with some noob questions.

We're running RecoverPoint 4.1.1. Installad on VNX5200. Using vRPA and trying to protect VM

1. May I know what happens if there is disaster occur in Prod site but I would need to bring my DR back online ? May I just directly mount up volume and put them to work ?

2. How may I perform a "proper disaster " ? We would like to perform a failover testing that simulate disaster occur and we only have access on the DR site.

Any documents and comments will be greatly appreciated

Rgrds

Hi Alvin,

The easiest way would be to log onto the RP UI in the DR site, navigate to Manage Recovery Actovities and initiate the Testing and Failover option.

Hi, just one more question

If I initialise the first sweep with bandwidth_limit=50 , may I half way during the initialsation, change the limit ?

Would my initial sweep be reset back and redo all over again ?

No problem with this as it is dynamic.
