Private non-routable subnet for single site ok
We have a single vCenter, two clusters (Cluster-A and Cluster´-B). I'm planning to create a single RPA Cluster (2 nodes). Both the vRPA appliance will be deployed in Cluster A. VM1 in Cluster A will be protected and replicated to Cluster B. Both the clusters have access to the datastores. My question is 1. Can I use private non-routable IP for data transfer? I didn't understand below the line? "Assign IP addresses that are on a routable subnet or on the same subnet as the vRPA data interfaces". If I create a VMKernel without gateway it will by default take gateway of management interface. Also link to KB2009119 is not reachable. 2. Since I'm protecting mission-critical MS SQL server, are there any specific recommendations on it. Thanks, Zara

Hi Zara,
The Data network can be local to the site where the vRPAs are configured on, e.g can be on non-routable network. That network should enable connectivity between the vRPAs and the splitters via the VMKs on relevant ESXs. relevant ESX is any ESX on that side with either a protected, vRPA or replica VM.
Hope that helps,
