RP cluster
I have a customer with 2 VNXs at the primary site and 1 VNX at DR. I want to know if one RPA cluster can handle both the VNXs at primary or if we need to have individual cluster per VNX. Can you guys let me know your thoughts.

Hi there,
As long as this is not RP/SE, an RP cluster can support up to ten VNX arrays discounting performance considerations (required due diligence sizing should be adhered to).

I'm aware of the fact that change rate etc has to considered while looking at the number of the RPAs required but the question is whether you can manage it with just one RP cluster (with X number of RPAs) per site or you need two individual RP clusters with one for each VNX?

Yes, a RP clusters can manage multiple splitters (same type or different types), in case of VNX, it is 6 VNX arrays in VNX-OE 05.32.000.5.201 and later. See the release notes for more info.

One cluster can handle multiple VNX splitters (and other types of splitters as well) as long as you're using RP/EX licensing.
