RP4VM installation on local datastore
is possible to deploy/configure RP4VM on a local datastore? I know, the documentation is clear about "Do not deploy the vRPA on a local datastore..."

It may work, but we still recommend shared storage and vRPA in 2-8 appliance clusters. https://dell.to/2VJ5JkB

Hi there,
the only way it would work is if you're using standalone ESXs. We support these only if there are part of an ESX cluster (single node cluster is fine). We do require the journal and replica datastores to be accessible by all ESXs in the cluster. Placing the vRPA VMs on local/non-shared datastores would impact out disaster spec as it would mean that the vRPA VMs cannot HA restart on diff ESXs upon ESX failure so that wouldn't be recommended as well.
Hope that helps,
