Celerra and Replication Manager
hello,
i'm supposed to install a disaster recovery solution with the following elements:
-two celerra nx4 , dart 5.6.47.11, located in two sites connected by a dedicated 1 Gb network
- iscsi LUNs, and Cifs shares on celerra.
- two vsphere 4 farm , one in each site.
- Celerra replicator
- EMC Replication Manager with 1 server and 4 agent licenses
- Vmware Site Recovery Manager version 4.01
a bunch of VM's in the production site that makes use of iscsi LUNS on celerra to build VMFS datastores, a few iscsi LUNs
used for store MS-SQL DB accessed with RDM physical mode.
Do all these elements fits and works together ? (Celerra Replicator, Replication Manager, and VMware SRM ??)
How can I account for consistency issues ?
Do I need Replication Manager proxy agent to replicate vmware VMs?
Do I have to put each virtual disk in its own datastore, a datastore for each single vmdk virtual disk?
can I replicate consistently SQL located in RDM disks and use it in case of disaster ?
thanks in advance, Gianluigi
