Is ScaleIo supported On OracleLinux?
Hi,
Is ScaleIO supported on OracleLinux?I am trying to install ScaleIO on OracleLinux. Installation went fine but I am not seeing any SDC configuration on OracleLinux nodes. Apart from that SDS installation and configuration went fine.
I have seen couple of articles saying that ScaleIO is good opt for Oracle Workloads. I am wondering weather it will support OracleLinux?

Hi Rama,
ScaleIO is not supported on OracleLinux. Per the ScaleIO August Support Matrix (1.32.x), current supported versions of Linux are as follows:
RHEL: 6.1 - 6.5, 6.6, 6.7, 7.0, 7.1, 7.2
RHEL OSP: RHEL OSP6, RHEL OSP7, OSP8
SLES: SLES 11 SP2, SLES 11 SP3, SLES 12
Citrix XenServer 6.5

Which version of Oracle Linux and with which kernel release?

It works just fine but you have to use the RHEL-Compatible kernel. The SDC does not work with the OEL Unbreakable Kernel.

Same Question Again.
Will ScaleIO support Oracle Linux with UEK kernel now. If so please share support matrix.
