Unable to complete deployement on vSphere 5.5 - SSH_CANNOT_INSTALL_PACKAGE
When using the deployment wizard to install ScaleIO on a 5-node vSphere 5.5 lab environment, I keep running into failures when it starts deploying modules for LIA, PRIMARY_LDM, SECONDARY_LDM, etc. The failures are 'SSH_CANNOT_INSTALL_PACKAGE'.
I have verified that I can ssh into all of the VMs that are created during the installation wizard execution from both my desktop as well as the vCenter server itself.
Any further ideas on what could be causing this to fail?

1. Did you check the connectivity between your VC (Where the Virgo server is running) and the SVMs (ping SSH)?
2. Which Password did you configure for the SVMs SSH connection?
3. Did you use our OVA + ScaleIO templates for the deployment?

Yes, I can SSH into the 3 VMs created at this point, ScaleIO-xxx.yyy.32.166, ScaleIO-xxx.yyy.32.167, ScaleIO-xxx.yyy.168 from both my desktop and the vCenter server. I am using the root/ credentials set when I went through the wizard. I cannot disclose my password here, but it's 8 chars in the a-z,0-9 set. I am using the SVM Template that was created for me "EMC ScaleIO SVM Template (v1.32.3455) 1".

1. Not that the character set your password falls within is problematic, but I'd reattempt with a super plain lowercase-a-z-only password, just to be sure there's no issue there.
2. Check the SVMs' RPM databases (per How to get the rpm packages update history. - Red Hat Customer Portal) with "rpm -qa --last" and see if there's mention of issues with the ScaleIO packages. Any info here will be helpful.

There is a known issue with using the $ and ? chars in your password - please try to refrain from using them.

The article below suggests certain combinations of characters and numbers could cause this

in the article states
Using the implementation wizard to install SIO, during step 3 "create the new system", a password is requested for the admin user. It states on the screen, and in the user guide, that the following is required.
Password must meet the following criteria:
[0-9], special chars (!@#$....)
This is followed but the password is not accepted when some combinations are used.
There's no real error message, but in the screenshot you can see that the password box is highlighted in red when entering an invalid combination.
The issue was recreated in the lab, using a few various password combinations as follows
Test!1 - accepted
Test#1 - accepted
Test@1 - accepted
Test?1 - Not accepted
Test$1 - Not accepted
possible workaround would be in meantime:
Please use a different password when deploying the system and change it after the deployment is done using "scli --set_password" command.
