Can we clear an APM alarm on acknowledge ?And is there a way this will reflect in topology.

by APM you mean IP AM PM ? If so, then no, you can't clear an alarm from IP domain manager on ack. Events in AM PM are the result of pinging/polling and some traps which have a up/down behaviour. Deleting the notification directly in SAM will have some side effect (next event sync. between IP and SAM will resend the notification).

A typical solution when some observable symptoms are missing is to use a ServerTool which will set associated attributes in IP AM PM, those attributes being used in event definition. This may apply in your case.
