Upgrading Exchange when using SourceOne

We are currently running SourceOne 6.8 with Exchange 2007. Once SourceOne 7.1 is released (hopefully still targeted for November??) we are going to be upgrading SourceOne followed by an upgrade/migration to Exchange 2013. Since we shortcut attachments, is there anything we need to do before moving mailboxes from 2007 to 2013? This is not in regards to the setup needed on the server side - this question is specific for making sure we don't do something to break the shortcut link when moving a mailbox from one server to the other.

The Shortcut link is contained in the message.

The mail server doesn't matter.

The server account will need proper permissions on the new mail server for the archiving and restore functions to work properly.

SourceOne 7.1 GA will be released 1st/2nd Qtr 2014.

There is a Restricted Availability release program going on now that you would have to be involved with a Partner or EMC PS to participate in.

Greetings,

The version of SourceOne 7.0.1 can work with Exchange 2013 with some limitations. You have want to refer to the Documentation and Compatibility guide to find out this info.

Thanks,

Thanks, I have been looking at the compatibility document and was expecting to see this lined out in the table with Exchange 2013's compatibility list.

•For all Exchange 2013 releases, refer to “EMC SourceOne support for OWA on Microsoft Exchange 2013” on page 41.

The only compatibility for Exchange 2013 I'm able to find in the SourceOne for Email Management compatibility guide for SourceOne is with 7.1. I may be missing something...

Hi dfws_it_admin

At this time, only the restricted availability program of 7.1 is available.  To participate, you would need to contact your account representative at EMC.

The general availability release of 7.1 or 7.1 SP1, is targeted to be released in a few weeks.

Thanks,

Brad
