User Cache and Outlook 2007
Hello,
My customer has problem with running User Cache client on client machines with Outlook 2007 (Vista and Windows XP). There are non-responsible Outlook after start for minutes.
EmailXtender server is 4.81.655, UserCache is version SP1 1334 (newest)
Know anyone about resolution of this problem?

Applying solution esg103228 did help in our environment completely.
1. Shut down the Usercache services on the front end server.
2. Stop the EMCRetriever application pool in IIS.
3. Create a new reg key under "HKLM\Software\EMC\EmailXtender\" called "xtenderservers".
4. Create a string value called "server1" and the value should be the xtender server. If there are multiple xtender servers, add additional string values named "server2", "server3", etc.
5. Restart the application pool.
6. Restart the Usercache services.
We are going into a wider pilot.

Have you tried "SourceOne Offline Access for EmailXtender 4.81" ? It has been released on 11th February and believed to be very stable release. Please do check all the documentation to make sure you meet all the requirements.

Thank you very much for your response and apointment to new version of User Cache. I installed all needed (I hope :-)), local database is filled but my Outlook is disable to retrieve original message from db and only shortcuts are opened.
Error messages in app log are:
The Translator was unable to get the message data. (0x86041921) [OfflineAccessAgent, ExSyncAgent.cpp(1895).CExSyncAgent::RetrieveMessage]
or
OfflineAccess Extension: Failed to restore shortcut message to Message Store: (0x86043C38) [OfflineAccessExtension, ExUCExtension.cpp(912).CExUCExtension::OnRead]

I afraid that there is problem with my Czech localization of Windows (Vista, XP) or Czech Outlook...

I have few new experiences...
New EMC SourceOne Offline Access 6.5 for EmailXtender 4.81 is diferent from UserCache in case building cache db.
Initial message caching is probably made only from non-shortcutted messages or shortcutted messages did not resolved to cache database.
When I make initial build of cache database on production mailbox where are lot of shortcuts, then I do not have lot of shortcutted messages resolvable again cache database... It is unable to implement EMC SourceOne Offline Access 6.5 (new User Cache) at EmailXtender customer.
So if I have mailboxes with thousands messages shortcutted and there is not possible to restore shortcuts to mail server (because of space), it is for my EXtender customers unusable.

I did not have completely resolved, but I have (probably completely) understood. Offline Access is little bit different from UserCache. Old UserCache cached originals of messages (from ost file) when messages were shortcutted. Offline Access is caching only original messages, so you cannot open messages (reslove original from local cahce) which was shortcutted before first buidl of local cache (cache db). Good way is to restore shortcuts to mailbox, then set age of messages for caching, rebuild local cache and shortcut mailbox regarding to your shortcut policy. Then you will able to open messages from local cache.
It is my experience with new SourceOne Offline Access used against EmailXtender 4.81 and UserCache server.
