48X CD-RW / DVD-ROM Combo Drive
The drive recognizes dvd's and will play them without any problems, but when I try to burn video's onto a dvd it pops up saying that I need to make sure there is a recording device attached and that I can retry or cancel. As of now, I can only burn my Road Runner slide shows on a CD and not a DVD.
Any help would be appreciated.

A CD-RW/DVD-ROM combo drive doesn't include DVD burning capability.
ROM stands for Read Only Memory, which is it's DVD capability. It's CD capability is Read and Write (RW).
GM
