Bad Pool Header

I have successfully burned info from the computer to DVD previously but when I tried to format the DVD a blue screen came up with a warning to say windows had shut down because of a risk to the system. The title 'Bad Pool Header' was present. I have a Dimension 9100 Tower system from Dell which has worked really well for nearly 5 years. Can I solve the problem myself?

Hi, Rosina M:

That error is associated with Sonic DLA, which is a program that allows writing to CD or DVD media using a method called packet writing. However, this program is prone to all sorts of problems, such as the one you are having. My advice is to uninstall DLA and use your normal CD/DVD burning program for writing files to blank discs.
