Bios on SSD

Hi,

I bought a Dell Inspiron 6350.  I installed a Samsung SSD.  I want to use SSD as the boot drive.  How do I switch the boot drive from the hard drive to SSD? Hard drive came with the computer.  Windows 10 has already been migrated to SSD using the Samsung software.  Any help would be appreciated.

We already tried to press F2 but under boot priorities it says "Windows boot manager" and when I try to click it to change to SSD the SSD is not there.

Hi Gopy,

Thank you for writing to Dell Community Forum.

For me to better assist in troubleshooting, please click my DELL-username and send me a Private Message with the Dell Service Tag number and your email address, so that we can check on the system configuration.

Assuming that you properly cloned the HDD to the SSD you need to press F12 and select the SSD as the boot drive. Once Windows is running you will need to go to Disk Management and initialize the HDD so that there is only one boot drive. You could also disconnect the HDD to make sure the SSD will boot on its own.
