CD-RW File problem ~ not sure what to do...
Here is my problem: (I should preface this that I am technically challenged)
I am trying to open a file from a CD-RW disc ~ sixteen of the seventeen files will open but this one won't ~ here is what it says:
Word failed reading from this file (Journal 2007). Please restore the network connection or replace the floppy disk and retry.
Word can not open the document.
Try one or more of the following:
*On the file menu, click Open to open the document.
*Make sure the document has a .DOC extension.
(E:\JOURNAL 2007 .DOC)

Hi, heartstrings:
My recommendation would be to copy the file to a location on your computer, the desktop perhaps, and see if you can open the file from that location.
The "please restore the network connection" message is a generic message that probably has nothing to do with your problem.
