CD-rom drive on Inspiron 620
I run diagnostics on the Pc and it report
Error code 2000-0152
Validation 48818
Msg: Optical Drive 0 - Incorrect status = 1C error Register: 0044
Sense Information : (o4-B580)
Sense data BUNCH ON NUMBERs
I'm assuming the cd-rom drive is busted but would just wanted to see if there was anything I could do

Hi Murph9325,
Was your drive working before and suddenly you started having problems? More than likely you are going to need to replace the drive. However, they're inexpensive and easy to replace.
