Cd/RW Drive

Heloo!!

Looking for a solution. Bought a Dell Latitude E6410 (used!!!) so out of warranty.

it does have a CD/RW Drive. Tried to use it today for the first time (bought it 01/02/2017) tonight. Put a brand new CD in it, it won't do anything. The drive won't even open to eject.

What can I do to resolve this? Read somewhere to use an open paper clip, but can't  see a hole to do so.

Please help!!!

P.S.  Machine was upgraded to Win 10 Pro, by the seller.

Hi Zantura,

Thanks for posting.

The CDRW drive should have a small hole between the light and the eject button.  You can insert an unfolded paper clip into the hole and push, the drive should open.  If this continues, you should consider getting another one.  They're not very expensive, and are easily available.  Here's a picture of the location:
