DIM 9200 removing raid0

My PC: Dimension 9200 2*300 Gig, 2 Gig ram, 2,4 C2D, nvidia 7900GS 256MB, Vista Home premium. I want to remove raid 0. I have two 300 gig harddisks running in a raid0 array. For my purpuse this is too unsecure. is there apossibilility to modify the system? Thanx gerhard

Yes, but before you start, be sure you have the XP CD and a driver CD - you will need to reload everything after you alter the RAID configuration.

ENJ63 Have just placed an order for a Dim9200 and I also don't want RAID but do want two separate hard drives. I think RAID is disabled from the BIOS, but based upon your reply, will I have to reinstall the os. If this is the case, it is not such a big deal as I would prefer to install W2k. Rex

I wouldn't count on being able to have full functionality with Windows 2000 - you will likely have to settle for some things not working due to lack of driver support.

Yeah, I sort of know that. If it is stuff like networking, that is no big deal. Guess when everything is up and running, I can set up a dual boot with W2k. Rex
