DVD-RW Drive Spindle Test test cannot run in SupportAssist System Scan

I have a Dell Precision T1700 with a TSSTcorp DVD+-W SN-208FB DVD-RW drive - firmware D100.  I have upgraded the system to Windows 10 Pro.  I have recently installed Dell's SupportAssist version 1.1.6664.10 software. 

I am trying to run the 10-minute System Scan.  I get a message that the DVD-RW, and specifically the Spindle Test, cannot run. 

The file log says that the Spindle Test cannot run with the drive door open.  The test immediately preceding the Spindle Test is the Tray Out Test.  This seems strange. Shouldn't the Tray Out Test be the last test in the DVD-RW sequence?  Is there a bug with the SupportAssist software our am I doing something wrong?
