Dell Speakerphone SP3022 stopped working on macOS (Macbook Pro M1 Pro)

Dell Speakerphone - SP3022

Hello,

I'm a macOS user.

I use the SP3022 as a default device for audio input and output.

Out of a sudden, the device stopped working in my M1 Pro Macbook. It was working fine a couple days ago. There were no OS updates.

The Speakerphone is wirking fine on my M1 mac mini with the same OS version, so it doesn't seems to be an OS related issue.

I tried different USB ports. No changes.

The device can't even start working. No lights turn on. Nothing happens.

Can anyone provide some assistance or troubleshooting tecnhiques.

Sorry to hear about the issues you're facing with your Dell Speakerphone SP3022. Here are a few troubleshooting steps that you can try:

  1. Ensure that the device is properly connected to your MacBook Pro M1 Pro. Try connecting it to a different USB port or using a different USB cable to rule out any connection issues.

  2. Restart your MacBook Pro and try connecting the device again.

  3. Check if the device is detected in the System Information. Go to the Apple menu > About This Mac > System Report > USB. Check if the device is listed under USB devices.

  4. Reset the SMC (System Management Controller) on your MacBook Pro. Follow the steps in this Apple support article: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295

  5. Try connecting the device to a different Mac and see if it works. This can help determine if the issue is with the device or your MacBook Pro.

If none of the above steps work, you can try contacting Dell support for further assistance. They may have specific troubleshooting steps for your device and can help you with any warranty-related concerns.

I hope this helps!
