Dimension 3000, V03 BIOS won't recognize SATA card/drive as boot device

I installed the I/OCrest (Syba) SA3512-2R SATA card in a PCI slot.  Mounted a WD Caviar 500 Gb drive to the card.  I can see the device in the BIOS' drive configuration list and I was able to use Windows Disk Management to format and partition the drive and assign a drive letter.  I was able to use drive replacement software (Seagate software driven by Acronis True Image) to clone my old 80 Gb IDE drive to the new SATA drive but the device is not available in the BIOS list as a boot device.  Are there any BIOS tweaks that might allow the new device to be recognized as a boot device?  BIOS revision updates?  According to the list provided based on my service tag, A03 is the latest BIOS revision applicable to my machine.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

John

Hi. I have the same question. What do I need to do to boot my Dim 3000 to a SATA drive? Thanks!
