Dimension 8400 HD Failure
Out of the blue, my 8400 will not boot saying it is missing the System32 folder and files. Tried booting in various scenarious with no luck. Tried the XP windows repair and it say no HD when it boots from the CD.
I removed the HD and slaved it to another 8400. And although the OS sees it as a drive F, it will not let me explore to copy files. It reports as an I/O error.
Do I have any realistic options to try to salvage some of the data on the HD?

Sorry, but it sounds like the hard drive is toast and the data is not recoverable, without the services of a Data Recovery Company.
