Exchanging Hard Drives
I f I exchange four 5400 RPM RAID Hard Drives with 7200 RPM HDs in a XPS720 will there be enough heat increase to cause a cooling system problem?

There will be a slight temperature increase, but nothing worth mentioning. It also depends on the manufacturer/model of the drives in use.
I would suggest going SSD if you are concerned about thermal issues, this will completely eliminate it out of the equation.
