Failed to copy files larger than 4GB from DVD (TSSTcorp DVD+-RW SN-208AB)

My New one month old Inspiron5520 laptop failed to copy files larger than 4GB from DVD. I have tried many times and changed differnet DVDs still the problem persists.  When I copy the files on my DVD to laptop, the copying speed starts at 25MB/sec and after few seconds it goes down to 4 MB/Sec. Once it reaches 50% or above it stops copying and the popup shows "TRY Again". Also there is some "kirk" Noise when drive rotates.

Please suggest suitable troubleshooting tips.

Note: Laptop Under warranty.

PS: DVD drive reads all the discs and Plays movies, music and Games.Functioning well.

Hi VijaiAnand,

Tell me about the DVD and its files. A DVD normally only holds about 4.7GB, so are you telling me you have a single 4GB file on a disc?

Obviously, if they are commercial movie DVDs, it's not going to work. But I assume it's something else.

A HD movie DVD and then a 4.1GB compressed file of images.

This is not really a hardware problem, so I'm at a loss to suggest anything. You might want to post in the software forums.
