HD is not found!
Gents, I'm in trouble. My Dell workstation (win XP) fails to start normally. Instead I'm receiving:
Drive 3 not found: Serial ATA, SATA-3
Alert! Failed to detect one or more drives during POST.
Strike the F1 key to continue, F2 to run the setup utility
Press F5 to run onboard diagnostics.
Any ides?

Hi Jim654321,
That error indicates that you have a hardware problem with the drive connected to SATA port 3. Can you tell me what it is?

Hi,
I guess it's my hard drive. In the meantime, I tested it with two different workstations and it wasn't event detected in BIOS. I guess it is dead !
