HELP I've been an idiot and deleted something important
HELP!!!
I've been an idiot and deleted the driver for my cd drive!!!! I realise this was a stupid thing to do but by the time I realised it was too late! Moreover, I did try and reboot the drive using the boot disc however, because the drive is deleted the disc didn't run! I've also tried all the usuall fixes such as system restore and SCREAMING!!! LOL
Does anyone know how I can get/ re install the drive?
I have a Studio Hybrid 140g, running Windows Vista.
The drive that I deleted was the Optiarc DVDRWBD BC - 5600S.
If anyone can help I would be very grateful!

Hi Stujdeal,
Oh no!! You killed your computer!!! You'll have to get a completely new system!!! Ha, just kidding.
All CD/DVD drives use the same Windows driver. If your drive disappeared, your driver may be corrupted. Please try running the CD/DVD fix (link below). Run the MS Fix-it thing. If that does not work, then follow the manual procedure.
