How do I update my hard drive's driver (HDD)

I downloaded a driver for my hard drive in Dell Drivers page. After it extracted the files a readme note file opened saying :

Please copy the contents of this Release to your root directory of your bootable media.
An "autoexec.bat" has been added to automate the firmware upgrade.

PLEASE CONNECT A/C POWER BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO UPGRADE FIRMWARE!!!

I don't know what to do beyond this point. Please someone tell me how to do this :)) thanks in advance!

Things about my Laptop :

Model : Dell Inspiron 8600

Bios : A14

Driver Model : HTS726060M9AT00

Driver I downloaded : http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/555/DriverDetails/Product/inspiron-8600?driverId=R82021&os...

This is a firmware update, not a driver.  Is your drive experiencing a "clicking noise"?  If not, then you can skip the update.

flash1932 is 1000% correct...unless the hard drive is doing weird stuff, you need not do a FIRMWARE update...also, a new hard drive seldom needs to have a driver installed. I have a WD 80 GB hd and some of these models needed a firmware update cause noises could be heard on some of them....my WD  did not
